PRE K - ELEMENTARY - Accepting new students
Jennifer
Jen has been teaching in Early Childhood Education for several years with focus on preschool children and elementary students. She brings many years of experience focusing on phonics, early reading skills, writing and basic math. Jen brings a passion for supporting young students and their goals as they start setting the foundation to their education through interactive, encouraging, meaningful and fun sessions.

Shelby
Shelby is a Teacher Candidate currently completing her Bachelor of Education. She works with students in primary grades with a strong focus on literacy and foundational math skills, and writing. Shelby is patient, encouraging, and passionate about helping young learners build confidence and strong academic foundations in an engaging environment.

Gerard
Gerard is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce student specializing in Accounting. He supports students in grades 9–12 in Math, Physics, Business, and Computer Science. With four years of youth leadership experience, Gerard is committed to creating an encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and mastering challenging concepts.

Talia
Talia is completing her Master of Teaching at the University of Toronto and is looking forward to working as a primary/junior teacher. She loves to learn and is always excited to help students grow in their love of learning too. She supports students from Kindergarten to Grade 9, and especially loves math, reading, and French. Talia loves to get to know students and their interests and incorporate that into her teaching.

Sharon
Sharon is an Intermediate/Senior teacher (OCT) specializing in Biology and Chemistry. She has experience working with students from JK to Grade 12, supporting them with math, literacy, and science. Sharon is a lifelong learner who is passionate about encouraging students and making them feel comfortable, while helping them build confidence and strengthen their understanding. She enjoys connecting concepts to real-world examples so learning feels relevant and easier to understand.

Carley
Carley has a Master of Education and is a certified learning strategist specializing in adaptive technology and learning disabilities. She supports students from Kindergarten to University Master’s level in study strategies, note-taking, and writing skills. Carley can support students in any subject from Kindergarten to Grade 9, as well as reading, writing, and homework support in Grades 10–12. She is a patient and kind educator who values building strong relationships with students.

Gina
Gina is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with over 20 years of experience teaching in the elementary grades. She supports students in early reading skills, reading comprehension, and writing, using personalized strategies to support each child’s academic and personal growth. Her extensive classroom experience allows her to quickly identify learning gaps and support steady progress.

Saleena
Saleena is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with over 15 years of experience and a Master of Education. She supports students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 across reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, using individualized approaches that support unique learning styles while fostering confidence and a love of learning.

Isabella
Isabella is a Teacher Candidate in her first year of a Bachelor of Education program, with a background in Health Sciences. She supports students in math (up to Grade 9), as well as general English, writing, science, biology, and chemistry, making learning engaging and approachable while helping students build confidence and experience meaningful “aha” moments.

Arin
Arin holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Education, with plans to pursue Ontario Certification in the future. She supports students in elementary English and essay writing (to Gr 8), math (to Gr 11), an senior-level biology, using creative and interdisciplinary approaches to help students understand concepts in meaningful and engaging ways.

Elanna
Elanna holds degrees in English, Linguistics, and French and is currently working in Early Childhood Education. She supports students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 10, with a strong focus on language, literacy, math foundational skills and writing. Elanna enjoys helping students develop strong communication skills and confidence through language-based learning.

Shirley
Shirley is a junior–intermediate teacher (OCT) with the York Region District School Board, with over 20 years of experience in education. Her primary teachable is math, and she is dedicated to building strong foundational skills that help students gain confidence and excel academically. Shirley brings a supportive and encouraging approach to her work with students.

Julie
Julie is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) and recent graduate who supports students in elementary and middle school across English, math, science, social studies, art, and music theory. She breaks down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and tailors lessons to each student’s strengths. Julie creates a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident, curious, and supported.

Thiveya holds a Bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology and is currently pursuing a path toward becoming a teacher. She supports elementary and middle school students across English, literacy, math, science, and homework support, breaking down concepts into clear and digestible pieces. Thiveya creates a supportive and encouraging learning environment that helps students build confidence and stay engaged in their learning.

Ania is a Teacher Candidate currently completing a Bachelor of Education and has over 8 years of experience working with children. Ania supports students from Kindergarten to Grade 10 across math, language, science, geography, and humanities, with particular strength in science and geography. Ania enjoys working with intermediate students and brings an engaging, supportive approach that helps learners build confidence and curiosity.

Lauren
Lauren is in her final year of college, majoring in Child and Youth Care at Georgian College, and has several years of experience working with children and youth. She supports elementary and high school students across English, math, science, geography, history, and French, and currently works as a supply educator with the YMCA of Durham Region. Lauren brings a warm, supportive approach and is passionate about helping children and youth feel encouraged and confident in their learning.

Erin
Erin holds an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and is currently completing a Master’s in Psychotherapy. She supports students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in math (up to gr 10), English (up to gr 12), and science (up to gr 9), with additional experience teaching beginner American Sign Language (Grades 1–4). Erin brings a compassionate, student-centred approach to her work, creating a supportive environment where learners—particularly those in Grades 5–10—feel confident and engaged.
